How to disable ping on RedHat Linux

Question:How can I disable ping on my RedHat server?
Answer:To change it permanently (including after reboot), edit config file /etc/sysctl.conf
and add this line at the end:
Alternatively, for a quick disabling until the next reboot, you can use sysctl:
sysctl -w net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_all=1
